ICYMI
"In Case You Missed It " A new series introducing past The Future of Leadership posts and podcasts.
When I began The Future of Leadership with Ed Brenegar on January 20, 2022, I had a newsletter mailing list that I transferred of 366 subscribers. Three months later, I had successfully reduced it to 336, the lowest point of subscribership. Today, my subscriber list is at 690.
Thank you for reading and engaging with me in deep reflection about leadership and the future of our world.

The Eddy Network Podcast
The 38th episode was released this past Thursday. Here’s what you may not know about the podcast.
The Eddy Network: Global Conversations for Local Leaders is a podcast where I have conversations with people worldwide about their lives, work, and the places where they live.
The podcast is a networking experiment. I am asking no people that I know to come on the show. I am also asking people that I want to meet and get to know to join me for a conversation. In many cases, the podcast conversation is the first time we have talked. I ask my guests, "Who do you know that you think I should know because they, too, would be a good person to interview. And would you introduce us?"
For my potential guests, all I need is an hour. No prep. We talk about what we want to talk about when we begin recording. We typically talk for 30-40 minutes, though several have gone longer.
It has been an enjoyable, inspiring experience. I am meeting some interesting people from around the world. Here’s a breakdown of the nations where my guests are from.
US - 18
UK - 9
Australia - 3
Kenya - 2
Switzerland - 2
Denmark - 1
India - 1
Namibia - 1
Sweden - 1
Upcoming guests are coming from Chile, France, Portugal, and Spain.
If you know of people that you think would be a good person to interview, please introduce us.
Substack Numbers
Subscribers - 690 as of today.
By Nation:
I have no explanation for why India is the leading subscriber. If you have any thoughts, I'd appreciate your insight. And if you have any ideas about how I can engage with my readers in India, that also would be great. If you know people in India that you think would be a good guest on The Eddy Network Podcast, introduce us and I’ll take it from there.
Posts - 212 since 1/20/202
Of those posts, 38 are podcast ones.
Each podcast appears on YouTube on The Eddy Network Podcast playlist and on my Substack. Each Substack posting of the podcast is then posted to LinkedIn and Facebook.
Typically, the Substack will have between 230-250 views. The LinkedIn post of the podcast will generate another 180-200 views. The LinkedIn version has much more engagement in the comments. Guest reposting has a similar effect, and my interaction with the comments there often produces new subscribers.
ICYMI Series
I began to realize a few weeks ago that many of you who are new here missed out on the posts from last year. So, just as I have been posting the first chapter or section of the eight books that I published over the last several weeks, I have decided to do the same with previously posted essays. They will appear every Wednesday beginning June 28.
While I seek to write about our contemporary world, I am not trying to be a journalist who is reporting the news. My posts are reference points for understanding the news. What I wrote ten years ago is still relevant today. Many of the posts from last year were reworked from posts a decade ago.
I’d like to think that what I offer you here are thoughts that you can continue to return to in order to make sense of the world. Your comments and questions are always appreciated.
