“Who do you know that you think I should know, and will you introduce me?”
2. The Pitch
Your WHY is expressed through WHAT you do and HOW you do it.
My What:
“I am interested in supporting people, their families and organizations to strengthen their communities.”
My How:
“I encourage and equip people to take personal initiative to create impact that makes a difference that matters.”
3. The First Conversation
“Who are you? How did you get here? What matters to you? How can I help?”
Be Curious
Listen for something that triggers a deepening of the conversation.
Ask Questions
Tell your story, make your pitch, ask the question.

Steps to Prepare for a First Conversation
Ask yourself:
‘What do I do that creates impact that makes a difference that matters?”
“How does my impact describe my WHY, my WHAT, and my HOW?”
Create your list of people to ask for introductions.
Someone with whom you have credibility and respect.
Someone who has a network presence.
Look beyond your own generation.
Finish a conversation with something like this:
“Before we go,
do you know someone that you think I should know?
Would you introduce us?
I would appreciate it very much.
Thank you.”
