Jennifer Sey is a former world-class gymnast, corporate marketing executive, and mother of four children. Each segment of her life has an interesting story. However, she gained national recognition a year ago when she took a public stand as a citizen of San Francisco against the school system’s COVID lockdown strategy for the schools. Ultimately, her stance required her to step down, leaving Levi’s after 23 years of service.
Jennifer’s story points to a truth often ignored during these highly-charged, complex, public crises. It is that we are not one thing, but many things as persons. Often there may come a time when one part of our life requires a stance that disrupts another part of our life. All the more reason to be clear about the values that define our life. As Jennifer learned, the time may come when our principled stance requires us to make a sacrifice that creates a hardship for us and our loved ones.
I’m grateful for the opportunity to talk with Jennifer Sey.

Dearest Jen - My admiration and fond memories for you are unbounded...And, the rich and purposeful life you have led so far is proof of the importance of the values you cherish. I greatly look forward to seeing how you (and the world) capitalize on your unique talents and insights...which, it seems to me is likely to happen sooner than later, as you put the sad Levi's experiences behind you. You're recent Bud Light observations are just the opening salvo of practical, hard nose thinking that should make any high performing company, creative start up, non-profit or political organization anxious to talk with you....Bill
