Jerrold McGrath is one of those rare people who is doing new things in communities. He is the author of a unique book called In Praise of Disorder, which exhibits the ideas that he is presenting.
It may be surprising to say, but I rarely meet people who are genuine innovators. I’ve been around many entrepreneurs who create new products. But rarely leaders who are innovating how organizations and communities operate. Our conversation is well worth your time.

Jerrold McGrath is the founder and research lead at UKAI Projects, a Canadian arts organization interested in exploring and prototyping the kinds of culture and cultural infrastructure we'll need for a world increasingly defined by ecological and political volatility. He is a former program director at the Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity and Artscape Launchpad and is a member of the BMW Foundation Responsible Leaders Network. His first book, in Praise of Disorder, asks why we have become so preoccupied with order and control and how we might seek out pockets of disorder so that we might deal with the shocks that define a hyperconnected world.
