The Eddy Network Podcast began as a demonstration project in network building. Last year, I wrote a series of 20 essays on networks of relationships. Even just a few months later, I am even more convinced than ever that the development of our networks of relationships is the essential step toward managing change in a chaotic, complex world.
I have a simple methodology. I asked people,
“Who do you know that you think I should know, and would you introduce me?”
The Eddy Network Podcast is based on this principle. I am interviewing people that I have met in the normal interaction of life. Some are people who left comments on my Substack who I reached out to get to know because of what they had to say. And, many are new relationships form through introductions by mutual friends.
These diagrams visualize what I am demonstrating.
Today’s podcast is with Johann Botha of Windhoek, Namibia. We were introduced by Richard Merrick (The Eddy Network Podcast Episode 3).
Johann is an interesting guy, born in Africa, lived for a time in Europe, and is back in Africa with his family. I’ll let him tell you his story.
