We reached a point in time where we need to be conversant in two different languages. There is the language of the past which is mechanical and technical. And there is the language of the future, which has echoes of a pre-modern past where human beings were not cogs in a machine, but were dynamic creators and discoverers on the unknown.
One of those unknowns is human mastery. This is what John Durrant of the Ordinary Mastery Substack is focused on. My conversation with him is inspiring and touching. He speaks to the highest aspirations of human existence. He even has a developmental framework of mastery expressed through the acronym A.S.P.I.R.E. He talks about this approach to mastery. I like it very much.
Thank you, John, for a conversation that wasn’t about what we already know but what we are trying to learn at a high level of achievement. Thank you for being my guest on The Eddy Network Podcast.
John Durrant writes at Ordinary Mastery.
