Past, Present and Future:
“There is no past, nor future. Only the now.
All that once was considered in time has vanished into a simulation.”
- The Simulacra of Time
Past: consists of "generational memory".
Present: in a postmodern context appears as "the eternal present."
Future: realized through the "effects" of our lives lived in the present and past.
Is time a story, a philosophical construct, or how we understand the “effects” of change. Our ancestors understood this. Do we understand this or do we follow the notion of the philosophy professor in my upcoming novel, The Simulacra of Time, who sees time swallowed up in a simulation of time and reality.
I am searching for an answer. To answer this question is to make sense of a world that many of us feel does not make sense.
