I’m rereading the SunTzu at the moment, and this, in ch 5 seems resonant.
The extraordinary and the orthodox circle and
give birth to each other, As a circle has no
beginning. Who is able to exhaust it?
Centres are cyclical and temporary (Bagot Glubb estimated 250 years over 13 different civilisations) probably coincidental that that’s about the time since the start of the industrial age.....
Love your insights Ed 'when the center can no longer hold the periphery new centers emerge to revitalise society" and "Your world is smaller and more manageable than before."
I've noticed that the smaller my world becomes, and the deeper the conversations, the greater the positive and productive impact of everyone.
This title brings to mind the blood-chilling and tragedy described in the book -The Center Cannot Hold - about living with schizophrenia. In this case, the peripheries cannot conform either.
Thanks for the idea. I'll see what I can do.

I’m glad by to hear this. It is what I see.

It is a powerful metaphor that has wide application. Thanks for your thoughtful comment. I'll reflect of this for a while.
