Certainly! While reading, I had to chuckle at the familiar feeling of being in a room full of people and feeling that I don't fit in and then conclude I shouldn't even try to. With age, I've learned intuitively that there's a clear difference between my perception of things and actual reality. So, I've had to learn, by experience, to just be in the moment and feel at ease. It's tough to stop thinking you're being judged especially in situations like job interviews (where you ARE being judged) and that's still a challenge for me. I think your suggestions and ideas are really helping me to see beyond my own limited view.
