"While the current administration kept telling the public that inflation was falling and job growth was increasing, the reality that people saw was a different story" The "different story" was the relentless Conservative attack job on Biden because they had ONE metric they could point to that looked bad and could hammer him with. This was literally all PR messaging. Nobody who is actually seriously discussing inflation, whether at our major financial institutions or across the world called the global inflation crisis "Biden's" crisis. Nobody thinks this is Biden or the Democrats fault it is literally a global phenomenon that the Fed and Biden actually navigated better than any other major country.
Republicans have also been primed to view inflation as apocalyptic and act as though they are "suffering" when consumer spending has been robust and is in fact one of the main drivers of the inflation we've been seeing. Basically the economy is booming and people are thriving and spending so much that it's adding pressure on prices at a time of very low unemployment (Philips curve anyone?)
Well, you are going to have a lot more metrics to celebrate as the DOGE unfolds. I hope you will give us similar justification for all the USAID funding. I appreciate you taking time to offer a comment.
I wonder Ed, what we mean when we speak of truth. AND it might appear that all “truths”, surrounding us and significant to our species, are consequential…..
Well now, that was certainly thorough. Well thought out and expressed. Thank you for your work. I sometimes wonder given our relatively new digital reality, if this saying is true anymore: "The Future is unwritten".

Yes, I agree. And equally so, that truth is not some thing that I possess, but rather the authenticity of the world beyond our control.

Thank you.
