The Network of Relationships Initiative
Your network is more important than ever. Who you know and who they know is now more important than what you know. This is the dawn of the era of the Global Impact Network
Introduction
Networks of Relationships are local networks. Even within a global organization, the network you create facilitates general workflow, problem-solving, communication, and innovation which doesn’t always happen in an overly structured environment.
Over the past year, I have focused on the articulation and demonstration of a practical network of relationships process.
I first wrote the essays in The Networks of Relationships Series, linked below to their original posting, published between July and October 2022.
In February of this year, I began The Eddy Network Podcast. In my invitation to potential guests, I describe my purpose.
“My podcast is a networking demonstration project. I am asking people that I know to come on the show. I am also asking people that I want to meet and get to know. I ask my guests, "Who do you know that you think I should know because they, too, would be a good person to interview. And would you introduce us?"
The links below to their original posting provide an overview of what I presented last year. Beginning in September, I am reposting an essay a day, except on podcast days, Mondays and Thursdays. I am doing this so that you can review the range of ideas that I explored related to networks of relationships. In doing so, I am suggesting that you establish a plan for sharing the posts that seem most relevant to your networks or team. Note the date of republication of each essay so that you plan to share and discuss them. If you would like to include me in a session discussing your networks, reach out to me at ed@edbrenegar.com and we can make arrangements.
It is worth saying again, that in the future,
It is not what you know that matters,
but who you know and who knows you.

This is a very timely reposting. I’ve mentioned in my #newartisans post today (published as I received yours) that I sense an increasing hunger for the quality of connection you write about. I think these networks already exist in embryo, but do not fit into the “enclosing” nature of large organisations.
There is something maybe of chaos here, as failing organisations disintegrate, and these putative networks realign around something more meaningful than profit.
Great job. We need you to do this.
Thanks !
